Thanks for clicking here   :D

I am wondering if you would be so kind as to help a little with the forum indexing project ?

Please prepare in the following format (and post in this thread) :

*Which category it should go under--which heading within category

*Exact title of thread
*Thread link
*Summary of topic(s)

Example :

Repertoire--Beethoven

Beethoven - The last 3
https://pianoforum.net/smf/index.php/topic,2748.msg23723.html
(progressive difficulty list for all 32 sonatas)

Before copying the link, PLEASE click the icon just to the left of the title of each thread so the thread is ready to read wherever you choose to bookmark it (and the thread is not just "floating" when opened to from the link).

This way, the threads are ready to be indexed.  Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated

m1469's attempt to index of the forum
https://www.pianoforum.net/smf/index.php/topic,9159.msg92755.html#msg92755
(Index of the piano forum)

REQUEST :

If you run across ANY thread during your reading which seems interesting and useful to you, please feel free to submit it regardless of category.

Thanks,

Thank you very much Bob  :D, this is very helpful !

Now, for those of you who are browsing the site and find a thread that is useful and you are just dying to submit it as a link for the index, Nils has offered to have you use the "report to moderator" option located at the bottom right hand side of the thread.  Just let him know you would like for it to be indexed and it will be passed on to me  :).  It's easier than ever  ;D and so much fun too !!!  8)

Oops, sorry, wrong club. :(

I really don't have anything to offer to the indexing project.  The one thing I had to offer was the link to where some guy with "way too much time on his hands" did something crazy and made some excel spreadsheet of all the graded music in the forum.  That dude was a freak.  ;D  But you already posted the link to that.

m1469, you could just post whatever people put up.  Then, adjust things if someone finds an error.  That way you would just be posting and not having to review all the information.

Haha, I have had a good idea eventually! Why not put up a category for Non-Pf piano-related websites. Some that would come to mind:

m1469, I took it upon myself to go through and format a section of the links that you posted above by providing the title as you suggested in your initial post.  I hope that I have not just duplicated work you have already done, but it seemed helpful.  Is this how you keep track of what you already have?  I did not have time to go through and categorize them, but I hope this helps.

Thanks Kohai, yes that is very helpful.  Thanks abell88, thanks Bob.

I keep track of the threads in a few ways, The two most prevelent are by the title, then by the first set of numbers listed in the link.  Within each category, they will be listed by the numerical order of that first number combination within each link, so between the title and those numbers, I can tell whether or not I already have a given link.

Just as a side note, we are including the titles as a help in organization, but also, should we every change the forum again where the links are suddenly useless, we will still have the titles which can be easily searched for and found (and then we can update the links).

All the same, thanks for your continued support and I have been working behind the scenes to have the optimal organization (if that's possible  ;D ).

I can't seem to access the Index as it currently stands. There must be something wrong with the link.

omg... :) All the links will be different since it's piano street now right?

I bet you can find and replace pianoforum.net with pianostreet.com in the url's.

Or maybe the site is smart enough to switch the links itself.

Hopefully, those topic numbers at the end stayed the same.  I bet they did.
