Yep, such a sweet disposition, but we can't seem to concentrate.  The following picture was taken at training; I'm looking in the right direction, Cookie obviously isn't!

awww this is cute! i don't have a pet how sad i can't contribute. i used to have a couple of fish, but they died after like 3 and 5 months cos they got some weird fungus disease...

i have a 15 year old (once stray kitten) that is a tortie.  she was scared of water when we first brought her home because i think someone tried to drown her.  she never wanted to drink when people were around.  we named her 'tornado' because she was so energized after eating that she would run around in circles and then slide across the kitchen floor and hit the wall, and slide the other way, and run out the door.  now, she is old, but still cute.  the neighbor's younger tomcat always hits on her and i have to rescue her and bring her inside.

i have a good pic of her, but i can't seem to figure out how to get it on the computer without a scanner.  maybe i'll have my aunt scan it for me.  she's very even tempered for a cat.  very quiet. and, refined.  she doesn't like cat food, and eats bits of roast beef or turkey.  she rotates her beds, sleeping on ours, my sons, daughters, three year old daughters - i think to show that she loves us all equally. but, i know she loves my husband the most because he talks to her the most.  i get jealous when the first thing he says (about five times) when he comes home is 'hello, kitty' 'hello, tornado'  'good, pussy cat' etc. and then she rubs against his leg (only does this to me when she wants food) and he pets her.  (meanwhile, after a hard days work, i'm just watching the interaction - and wondering if i was a cat???)

ps galonia, your birds are sweet, too!  i love birds, but the cat would eat them.

oh, i forgot one of the greetings of my hubby to our cat, and looking at the tigers remembered it.  fabulous feline.   he comes home and says "and how are you, my fabulous feline?"

Here's another example of Cookie's "sweet disposition" - tonight, I just killed a bird (a wild one, not one of my canaries), because Cookie had caught it and was playing with it.  When my brother turned out the back porch light, she brought it up to the glass doors to show us, and I saw the bird was still alive, and thought it would be cruel to let it die a slow death.  So I had to take it away from the dog, put it in a bag, and smash its head.

If Cookie had been doing this to one of my canaries, I would have smashed her head instead... luckily she knows she may watch the canaries, but not touch.
