Lemoine - Piano Music
Henry Lemoine
Henry Lemoine (1786-1854) was born into a Parisian family of music publishers. He took over the business from his father Antoine-Marcel in 1816. A successful piano teacher and a harmony student of Antoine Reicha, Henry Lemoine went on to publish most of Chopin´s music and firmly established the company´s production of educational materials with Berlioz´s Traité d´instrumentation and his own methods for piano, harmony and solfège. The firm is still in existence and the publication of pedagogic works continues to be an important part of their activity.
